Why pasture fed beef?

It’s better for the animal.

  • Pasture fed animals eat only grass, and can forage freely the way nature intended.

It’s better for the environment.

  • We use rotational grazing practices that mimic the patterns of ancient herbivores to improve soil fertility and water-holding capacity, reduce soil erosion and increase carbon sequestration. 

It’s better for you.

  • Pasture fed beef usually contains less total fat than grain-fed beef, which means that gram for gram, grass-fed beef contains fewer calories.

  • Pasture fed beef contains up to 5 times more Omega-3 than grain fed beef.

  • Pasture fed beef contains about twice as much CLA as grain-fed beef (CLA is associated with reduced body fat and some other beneficial effects.

  • Pasture fed beef contains carotenoid precursors to Vitamin A, such as beta-carotene.

  • Pasture fed beef contains more Vitamin E.

  • Pasture fed beef also contains more Potassium, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorus and sodium.
